Challenge
To implement a generic platform and gateway that scales to the needs of real-time/batch inter-bank networks that caters across to multiple countries in Asia, without interrupting other existing deployments As part of their services and strategic initiative, one niche area OP wanted to expand on is around building a scalable secure platform that would help their banking customers around insurance on deposits, clearing & settlement areas. Key requirements included supporting customers in different countries, complying to the regulations in those countries and keeping the product secure while able to expand to various banks on a SaaS model.
Our methodology
They approached VueData with their unique time sensitive requirements. They had a number of challenges to address as the bank had legacy infrastructure and business processes that required a number of customizations including language/locale, currency and workflow.
VueData with its unique blend of strengths around technology, QA services and DevOps was able to put together Tech team Pods that were able to design and deliver the platform requirements around developing scalable services built on microservices, develop asynchronous services that involved data intensive operations; while containerizing the services for the team to be able to enable zero downtime while scaling up and down based on the demands.
Impact
- VueData with its blended team model and technical expertise was able to release the platform aligning to the requirement of 3 countries in three quarters with 50% reduced resource cost. This helped the client team to scale up their marketing efforts to onboard more banks and also focus on new countries.
- Our team worked closely with the OP business team to be able to incorporate per country business rules and regulations that had to be implemented in a plug and play configurable manner with workflow in place for the administrators to be able to dynamically change the rules.
- With a repeatable process and automation across QA and DevOps in place, VueData was able to help the client handle twice their volume of usual banks onboarded on the platform each quarter. VueData was also responsible for release cycle efficiency by 40% for their existing customer base
